Wedding – Sarah & Luke

I’ve been looking forward to this wedding so much despite Sarah and Luke only getting engaged 4 months ago, that I think I was actually more nervous than they were combined. But then again, they are probably the most relaxed and easy-going people I’ve ever met.

I always find it strange that some weddings seem to be more about the guests and the expectations of others rather than about the two people at the centre of the event. That’s why it was so great that their wedding was really just.. them. Quirky, creative, loving, welcoming, honest and filled with generosity and laughs, not to mention hearty food and groovy live music.

Don’t get me wrong, glamorous and lavish weddings can be really epic and jaw-dropping but weddings that are small, intimate and unique like this make me all warm and fuzzy and tend to be the ones that I enjoy the most, as a guest and a photographer.
