Wedding – Han & Jing
I met with Han and Jing over coffee to deliver their images. I was dressed rather casually. They were in their gym clothes. We chatted about a variety of things. Catching up on things that friends catch up about after not having seen each other in awhile…
It’s so strange, to consider people you didn’t know that long ago to suddenly being people you could call your friends. I stare at their faces and the faces of their family and friends for hours on end while I work on their photos and you become used to seeing them regularly. You become invested in their lives, in their happiness I suppose…
So as I drove home from our meeting, there’s a twinge of melancholy. I won’t see them as often as I used to even if it’s just on a computer screen… It’s always there at the end.
No one told me this when you become a photographer. It’s still worth it.
Sunshine. Strong winds. Balloons. Airplanes overhead. More balloons. A groom that couldn’t stop smiling. A bride brimming with emotion.
These were some of the things that I remember from the wedding… I don’t think I will forget it any time soon.
