Personal – Street Photography revisited

I started out doing a lot of street photography in my early days. It’s still one of my favourite past times where I could just roam the streets for an entire day, searching for that one moment that would make it all worthwhile. It really taught me a lot about not only technique but anticipating candid moments that I knew would never happen again.. It’s a very solitary style of shooting that for me feels more relaxing than anything.

I think that’s my fascination with street photography – the idea that at that very second of your life, you may never see this moment happen ever again (or at least for a very long time) and it immediately makes the image you capture unique.

No gimmicks, no posing, no pretentiousness. Just real.

There’s something amazing about not only finding but making everyday ordinary things into something ridiculous, bizarre, hilarious, emotional, sad and beautiful… Because that’s life.
